If you've been online the past few days (or even watched any entertainment news) you know that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the lead only weeks before filming is set to start. That means- CASTING.... RUSH CASTING!!!!
And for all of you that are continuing to petition for Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder- just stop. If they didn't get the job the first time, it probably means they are not truly interested in it. The actor who gets this role will need to be okay with the direction it will take his career. For one, it probably will not give him great nods and accolades or esteem in the acting world. Plus, he's going to have to be overtly sexual and nude. So get over it!
Who could take over though....
If you read my first suggestions, you know that I am actually kind of partial to Jamie Dornan in this role. He's hot. He's a former Calvin Klein model so you know he has a bod plus he's not afraid to be shot in his underwear (maybe even without his underwear)
A new name, though, I would like to submit is Alexander Skarsgård. He already walks around practically (if not completely) naked on his show True Blood. And since it sounds like the vampire show will be going off soon, he'll need a new engine for his career. He radiates charm, control and dominance. Doesn't hurt that he has already expressed interest in the role.
So who do you think is going to replace Charlie as Christian? Who is going to help Dakota Johnson bring this guilty pleasure to the big screen?
