50 Shades of Grey- Recast Confirmed

Okay, before I posted anything, I wanted to give the story a few days just in case things change (not saying that everything is concrete now), but it has been confirmed. We have a new Christian Grey!!!!
  Jamie Dornan!

We've heard how much chemistry Dakota Johnson had with Charlie Hunnam, so we'll have to see if she can steam up the lens with her new leading man.

So, what do you think about the new Mr. Grey? Are you still excited to see the movie or are you tired of the buzz?

Plus... Elliot Grey, Christian's older and laid-back brother, is going to be portrayed by Luke Grimes. Some might recognize him as the kind vampire who refused to have sex with Jessica on True Blood because she was uncomfortable, then turned around and did after she requested it. He was also in Taken 2 and the TV show Brothers & Sisters.

And in an even more less interested role, Ana's mother will be played by Jennifer Ehle. Makes you wonder how this interesting mother-daughter relationship will play out on the big screen. How big or little of a role do you believe Ana's mother will have? After all, we all know screenplays are direct interpretations of the books they are based on (cue the sarcasm).

50 Shades of Grey- Christian Grey Recast

If you've been online the past few days (or even watched any entertainment news) you know that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the lead only weeks before filming is set to start. That means- CASTING.... RUSH CASTING!!!!

And for all of you that are continuing to petition for Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder- just stop. If they didn't get the job the first time, it probably means they are not truly interested in it. The actor who gets this role will need to be okay with the direction it will take his career. For one, it probably will not give him great nods and accolades or esteem in the acting world. Plus, he's going to have to be overtly sexual and nude. So get over it!

Who could take over though....

If you read my first suggestions, you know that I am actually kind of partial to Jamie Dornan in this role. He's hot. He's a former Calvin Klein model so you know he has a bod plus he's not afraid to be shot in his underwear (maybe even without his underwear)

A new name, though, I would like to submit iAlexander SkarsgÄrd. He already walks around practically (if not completely) naked on his show True Blood. And since it sounds like the vampire show will be going off soon, he'll need a new engine for his career. He radiates charm, control and dominance. Doesn't hurt that he has already expressed interest in the role.

So who do you think is going to replace Charlie as Christian? Who is going to help Dakota Johnson bring this guilty pleasure to the big screen?

50 Shades of Grey- CASTING CONFIRMATION

It has been confirmed! Coming to a movie theater near you... in a couple of years.... your new Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey:

Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam

I know, I know. There is already a petition from angry fans who are demanding that the roles be recast. However, I have to commend the casting director and whoever was part of the casting decision in one thing. They picked two relatively unknown actors. Hunnam has been perfecting his craft on television and recent movies. Johnson.... well, she's has minor roles (if you can call them that) here and there. We'll have to see if acting is in her genes.

With this movie and these characters, they could not pick well-known actors. They would have overshadowed the already well-known characters and I believe there would've been a tug-of-war between how to run with the movie.

It's like when they brought the Twilight books to life- they didn't go straight to famous actors. The actors became household names because of the movies. Or even the Star Trek remake. Some of the actors had been in successful movies beforehand but they weren't well known yet. Then again, unknown actors can really butcher a famous character. Case in point, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader.

So, kuddos for steering clear of established stars. We'll have to see if they can actually pull it off though.

Thoughts? Opinions?

The NEW BATMAN

Who's afraid of the big black bat, the big black bat, the big black bat? Who's afraid of the big black bat? Better not be Clark Kent.... especially since he will be facing off the the dark crusader in his next movie.

Now it has already been said that Christian Bale has hung up his bat ears, so the series will have to do a reboot. Superman was able to, though it had help since if followed the disputed flop with Brandon Routh (who I will defend as a good Superman candidate). However, this Batman will have to follow the success of Bale who was proceeded by George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton and of course Adam West.

So who will be the next superpower-less hero? Who will face off with Henry Cavill in the superman sequel?

                            VS

Jon Hamm? We know he looks good in a suit which Bruce Wayne will have to pull off. Can you not see him as a playboy billionaire, unintentionally leaving broken hearts in his wake. Then he also has the square jaw that mask is crying for.

Gerard Butler? As our candidate above, he cleans up nicely but brings a rakish charm to the playboy. Plus, did you see him in 300?

Eric Dane? Paging Dr. McSteamy, your batmobile is blocking traffic.

Joe Magliano? If you have seen him as Alcid on HBO's True Blood, you know this man has muscles and a penetrating gaze. In Magic Mike, he also gave the women something to pant over.

 Eric Bana?

CONFIRMATION:
Ben Affleck is our new Batman....

Personally I am still not sure about this choice. We've seen him in Daredevil, but who knows. After all, I was wrong about Robert Downey Jr. playing Ironman. We'll just have to see, I guess.

What do YOU think?
