Buffy the Vampire Slayer... The Movie... ... Again?

For me, I have been hearing this rumor for years: Buffy will be reincarnated in movie version again. This icon- fantasy favorite female hero- has had loyal fans since the beginning. She was your atypical hero- young, female teen who would rather paint her nails and shop with her cheerleading squad is forced to battle the monsters and demons that go bump in the night.

Yet, many more fans are familiar with Sarah Michelle Gellar's Buffy who played the role for 7 seasons


This character is so popular, that she cannot die. Instead, she was reincarnated in comic form



Is it time for a fresh face actress to take the mantel? Who knows. I present these young ones for your consideration (I looked for young faces because who knows when this movie would be taken into production- if ever):





Bailee Madison is a fresh face young star who has already worked beside some big names and has done some complex roles. Currently, she still has this adorable baby face, but who knows how she will look in two years.




Madison Pettis has been acting for almost forever and she is only around 15 years old. From television series to movies, she has acted alongside Dwayne Johnson and Will Smith.

Peyton List has been practicing the role of ditzy, materialistic teen girl who is more fascinated in the latest fashion than what's really going on in the world. Which basically describes Buffy before she basically becomes the master slayer.

Olivia Holt is an actual cheerleader and she has that whole California, sun-streaked, beach look going for her.


Annie Thurman has already been spotted in the wildly popular Hunger Games as a Tribute and will be in the upcoming Dark Skies. It sounds like action is already in her repertoire.

Bella Thorne is best known for Shake It Up, but she has been part of several diverse series including Big Love and Dirty Sexy Money. We know she can dance, so I'm sure she can tango with some vampires.

Star Wars New Cast- The Offsprings

If I have heard/read correctly, two of the new roles being cast are the sons of Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. There is no surprise about these characters, really. We knew the next generation would have to carry on the legacy. However, the names that are being rumored to fit the bill have been creating some buzz.

Will Mark Hamill being passing his light saber to Ryan Gosling?



Now this choice has sent some polarizing vibes. Some people do not believe that Gosling can honor this beloved world and the Skywalker legacy. Others think he's too of a big name and he's presence will shadow the character himself. Then there are some people who refute this rumor, since there was word Gosling wanted to take a break from acting to begin with.

There is no doubt, Gosling is a good actor. He can do drama and comedy. Plus, he's easy on the eyes. However, I somewhat believe an up-and-coming actor would be best for this type of role. It is such an iconic world, with legions of fans. We do not want the actual story and beloved characters to be play second fiddle to the big names the studios feel will pull crowds into the theater. After all, recent history should show that big names do not always guarantee box office success.

It also appears that Hans will have his own son to pass along some training. Of course, I cannot picture him willingly handover the Millennium Falcon. The name that has been swirling around to play Solo Jr. is Zac Efron.




Harrison has already played father to Shia LaBeouf in the continuation of Indiana Jone's story. Will he be the father to another young rising star? Efron is mostly known for his musical background, but he has not made it a secret that he wants to be taken more seriously as an actor and want more diverse rolls. Can you picture him as a space cowboy? Possibly, but Harrison Ford is a hard act to follow. Just ask LaBeouf.

50 Shades of Grey Revisited

We are returning back to 50 Shades of Grey casting.

Since Sam Taylor-Johnson has been slotted to direct this film, and she is relatively new to the game I thought it would be interesting to try something out. Sometimes directors will want to use actors they have worked with before, especially on major projects. Taking this into thought, I pulled a few actors that Sam has worked with who might be able to take on 50 Shades.

Also, since the writer of this screenplay also worked on Terra Nova, would it not be interesting to pull some potential names from that series?
